Inaugural Scholarship, Charles Sturt UniversityThe Bush Children’s Education Foundation funds one scholarship of $3,000 a year to attend Charles Sturt University at any of its five campus locations: Bathurst, Orange, Dubbo, Wagga Wagga and Albury Wodonga.The scholarship is administered by the Charles Sturt University Foundation Trust. The selection process is conducted by a panel of BCEF Directors.

Our successful candidates have come from small Central Schools located in areas previously affected by drought. During their schooling they have made outstanding contributions to their communities in areas of volunteer Bush Fire Brigades, church, school and shire youth programs.

Application criteria

2012 CSU Awardee for BComm(PubRel) BBusStud studiesApplicants should come from remote areas of NSW and be intending to work after graduation in a country area. Preference will be given to students experiencing financial hardship. The course being studied should be relevant to a rural context and applicants should be able to demonstrate a strong empathy with rural communities, as well as a record of academic achievement.The scholarship of $3,000 per annum will be offered for a three year period, provided that required academic performance is maintained.
